Megan Taitano

 Hi! I'm Megan Taitano, a Chamorro (Guamanian) artist that makes art in Portland, Maine. I earned my BFA in printmaking at the Maine College of Art & Design. After a few years of figuring out my next direction in art and life, I've found a passion in capturing others' beloved pets' personalities in watercolor and bookmaking. 

    Through bookmaking I've found a renewed interest in being more sustainable and seeking to use up-cycled/ scrapped material, misprints, and unknown art fragments to make books. Hopefully when I'm more organized I plan to go back to printmaking regularly and add them to the site.
