The Running With Scissors Art Studios Steamy Summer Print Jam and Block Party is happening in the East Bayside neighborhood of Portland, Maine on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 10am - 5pm! Watch Running With Scissors (RWS) print oversized blocks measuring 4x4' - 4x8' carved by local artists and print groups using a three-ton asphalt roller. There will be music, family-friendly activities, food and beverage, and art for sale in their parking lot at 250 Anderson Street in Portland, Maine. This event is free and open to the public. Parking is available on Anderson Street, Marginal Way, and the nearby commuter lot. Support the local community and stroll the neighboring East Bayside businesses hosting their own art-focused activities that day.

Maine Craft Weekend & 6X6 Exhibition
October 6, 7 & 8
Maine Craft Weekend is a statewide tour of Maine craft artist studios,events and businesses. RWS will open the doors and studios to the public to meet artists, enjoy artist demos and a unique chance to tour the space in action.
October 7, 10 - 5 pm
October 8, 12 - 4 pm
Running With Scissors artists exhibit and sell a wide variety of works 6x6" at Belleflower Brewing. Opening night is October 6, 5 - 8 pm. Other times during Bellflower open hours. The exhibition and sale will run through November.

6x6 Exhibition & Sale

The RWS 6x6 Exhibition and sale is an annual group show and sale hosted by Belleflower Brewing opening during Maine Craft Weekend. The artwork is all produced by RWS members and alumni and is 6x6" by up to 6" deep. It is a visual example of the diverse and creative work done by studio members.

Holiday Market & Open Studios
December 8 - 10
The RWS Holiday Market is a three day event featuring over 30 RWS members work including gifts for sale, fine art and crafts, food, beverages. A free family friendly holiday event where you can find ceramics, prints, jewlery, paintings, textiles, wood working, leather, sculpture, photography, ornaments, handmade books, and so much more!
